New Town Printers can produce printed or plain cartons, sleeves, and filing products with Braille-embossing. This production process was introduced in response to the creation of a new EU Directive on pharmaceutical packaging, but it is being used by many of our customers in both pharmaceutical packaging and other industries (such as in food sleeve production) as part of their implementation of the Disability Discrimination Act 2005. The Braille-embossing process forms part of the die-cutting procedure, and as such does not result in an extra-machine run. This therefore ensures the process remains as cost-effective as possible.

Should you be thinking of introducing Braille to your packaging requirements please contact us for a free sample pack . We are also happy to give advice on the standards and sizes of Braille available as well as other considerations of implementation.

In addition to Braille packaging we are additionally able to source both conventional Braille printing as well as Braille labels.
